What was I thinking?

I spent a bit of time looking back on some social media posts. I didn’t recognize myself. If change is good, I have embraced the good.

It’s not that those comments were bad they were just self-promoting and full of theological pablum. Granted, I have gone through a lot over the last six years and as I take an objective look at where I am, God has done something profoundly important to me.

I’ll leave it here. “It is all about love, the question, though, is can we do it (love)?” Yes, I think we can. When we let go of formulaic faith presuppositions and embrace the mystery of love.

That’s it.

  1. Your posts ALWAYS help me, whether I agree or not. I am in that “it’s all about LOVE” spectrum. I’m saddened by ALOT I see and hear – evangelical churches are so exciting and lovely, until I went deeper and found rigid biblical literal-ist “truth” interpretation. I mean, that’s scary stuff. Randy Alcorn says in his book Heaven, that if you don’t declare your belief in Jesus Christ as your personal savior, God will drop you in the wormwood of hell. That’s so scary. I don’t want to think of God like that because ANY of us have sinned enough to be dropped in the abis of wormwood 😱
